02|11|1995 Secret Concert Melkweg Amsterdam.

Today was an exciting day for me.
Me and a friend we went of to Amsterdam for Melissa's Secret Concert. The past week I had practice the lyrics of IWTCO one of Melissa's new songs on YLS.

First did some eating in A'dam, but because of the nerves I had not much hunger.
So we went of to the Melkweg and outside the venue there was a very cool lightshow of the Secret Concert.
Some pictures were made included one of me at the touring car.
We laughed and talked about Melissa and most of us were really nervous.

Around 21.00 the door opened and we went inside & run to the stage, where they hanged a big black curtain.
On that curtain was the YLS hey and in that key they showed the video clip of Your Little Secret a cool view that was.
We talked with some other fans and that evening I learned about bootlegs :O).
A sweet guy from Amsterdam (Misha) told me all about it; he already had over 15 bootlegs!

We heard the guitar and the drums checking the sound, and the next moment the lights went of and the Secret Show started.
The YLS curtain was taken away from the stage and the crowd had to make 3 more steps to get to the stage on knee height.
That was a scary and amazing moment.
Myself & the crowd behind me where pushed to the front, but at the same moment I looked up and Melissa stood there!

Leather pants boots, a tiger print blouse and that amazing little woman with her guitar and her great sweet smile!
The band started with "Come to my window" and the full band was amazed of the "sing along" volume of the crowd.
My first impression was, what a sweet rocking woman. She shine's so much expression.
There she was only 3 meters away.

Than the new song (IWTCO) was started every time I was 1 sec earlier with the lyrics than Melissa was.
She smiled and looked to me "You know it? Waauuw ".
That was my private moment!
Later she took a bottle of water and I yelled; "Nice bud".
"Thank you", she replied. I was in heaven!!!

About her tiger blouse she told us; "I killed a lot of cats in the neighbourhood".
This evening I saw for the first time the cards in the air.

I remember that before the show I saw a guy with cards and thought, who the hell take cards to a concert, now 10 years later I know why.
Melissa was first shocked when the stock of the cards was throwing on the stage but later she made jokes about it.
Later the guy (Stephan) told me that he saw this card thing at a Prince concert, and that he took it over since than.
After a break Melissa came back for an encore. She whispered the first tunes of LTWID.

I was overwhelmed with emotions and at that moment I realised how close I was, and how close the ending of the show was there.
The guitar solo part in LTWID was amazing.

Melissa walked to our side and her bodyguard came close to the stage between Melissa and the audience.
She explained to him that it's ok.
She kneeled down right in front of us mannnnnnn take me to heavennnnn.
I was almost in to tears....what a power that girl has.
The end was near, so she said bye bye and off she went. And than the lights went on!

One and a half hour in heaven real heaven. Her bodyguard (big Mike) was on stage and I asked him Mel's towel.
He looked at me... "You mean this one".
Yes yes...And he threw it to me. For a few seconds well I was a real Back Street Boys fan hihihi.
For a minute my friend thought I went crazy and laughed. Crazy girl!

After a drink we went outside and there was the crew, Melissa's bus driver and her bodyguard big Mike.
I received 2 plectrums with the MLE symbol from him.
Big Mike said he had to go back to the hotel and so we walked with the Melissa's crew to the hotel just around the corner in Amsterdam!
He told us Melissa was already in her hotel room with Julie!

So he told us if we want to write down a note for Melissa, he would give them to MLE.
So we did!
Big Mike went of for some sleep next day of to Paris for TV show ( taratata ) and a free weekend.

There is only one thing I have to tell about the 2 plectrums I received. You see I gave one to my friend as a souvenir of the special night together.
So I gave the one of MLE to her and myself.... well I got John Shanks his plectrum.
Holy cow shoottttt..but I still had some shows to look out to and well I will get my one personally one day!
